How: To get started, Simply donate $50.00 to Open Arms of Blue Ridge and become an Child Advocate. All Child Advocates receive a Spend Local & Hug A Child “Child Advocate Card”
The Program: Visit any one of our Local Partner locations, and present your Child Advocate Card before ordering or purchasing your order, and the Local Partner will donate 10% of your pre-tax purchase total to Open Arms of Blue Ridge. That’s it. Each and every time you present your Child Advocate Card when purchasing any and all items from one of our Local Partners – This includes: food, clothing, sweets, fly fishing lessons, white water rafting tickets, photography sessions….you name it….you will be Hugging A Local Child – because a donation will be made in your name and the name of our Local Partner to Open Arms. What a great way to consistently contribute to a cause that helps local children effected by abuse and neglect.

What an awesome mission you have and putting it in terms of how much $1 from each person in Blue Ridge could do toward helping allows others to see how valuable they can be toward change. Everyone can do a little; cut out that $2 cup of coffee for a day, no lunch out for a day & that is $5-$8, don’t buy a card send someone an E-card instead that is $3…etc. God Bless!!
