Child Enrichment Fund
We are glad that you are interested in our Child Enrichment Program. For many children that will soon find shelter at the Open Arms of Blue Ridge Child Advocacy Center, enrichment programs are just "what other kids get to do" or "what kids in happy families get to do". We aim to change that.
We aim to provide our residents with managed access to one-on-one and group programs that will provide each child with long-term social, academic, and cultural benefits. These program will not only be offered to current Center residents, but they will also be provided to former residents through a scholarship fund within the Enrichment Program. We feel it is essential that former residents maintain access to these programs so that their benefits will be sustained.
Can you imagine living a life without ever being encouraged to participate in or learn more about the arts, sports, crafts, after-school academic programs, vocational skills programs, or other life enrichment programs? Abused and neglected children often never have a chance to participate in these programs.
Our Child Enrichment Program is currently being developed, but we encourage anyone who has an interest in donating to this fund, or has an interest in participating in another way, to contact us immediately.
