• We Are Now Open!

    We Are Now Open!

For the past 8+ years, Open Arms of Blue Ridge has worked to open its doors to children in Fannin, Union, Gilmer and Towns County in need of advocacy. Thanks to our Life Partners, Angel Donors and everyone who helped us these past few years, we are now open and helping children in need.

We will continue to need all your support as we provide an invaluable service to our local children, and by making a donation, you too will be making a difference in the life of a child.

To learn more about how you can make a difference, please contact us.

    Who We Are

Open Arms of Blue Ridge is a private, non-profit corporation that has been working to develop a short-term child advocacy center for abused and neglected children. The mission of Open Arms of Blue Ridge is to "To strengthen our community by providing safe, temporary, quality, basic residential room, board, and watchful oversight and additional oversight as approved to abused and neglected girls ages 12-18 in need of this service from counties primarily in the north Georgia area."

  • $ for Kids

We are campaigning to get every household in Fannin County to contribute $1.00 to Open Arms of Blue Ridge. These $1.00 donations will help to offset operating expenses at the Open Arms Child Advocacy Center.

  • Pantry Fund

    Pantry Fund

The State of Georgia requires the Open Arms Child Advocacy Center to provide high quality meals, snacks, and drinks to all Center residents. To that end, Open Arms has developed a Pantry Fund to encourage food donations to ensure the Child Advocacy Center is always stocked with sufficient quantities of healthy meal ingredients, snacks, and drinks.

  • Child Enrichment Fund

    Child Enrichment Fund

We are glad that you are interested in our Child Enrichment Program. For many children that will soon find shelter at the Open Arms of Blue Ridge Child Advocacy Center, enrichment programs are just "what other kids get to do" or "what kids in happy families get to do". We aim to change that.

  3. December/January Quote

    12/17/2013- December/January Quote

There are significant reasons in favor of giving to charity now rather than in the long-distance future. Giving communities a helping hand today allows them to continue to be better off in the future, increasing the social rate of return. It is also important to make a public stand and encourage others to give.
